Pirates of Capitalism: The Psychopathy Behind Modern Finance - The Earnest Mann Show
Pirates, Finance, and the Psychopathy of Capitalism
Hey, it's Earnest Mann here! In this episode, we're stripping away the romanticized veneer of pirates and drawing a hard line between their ruthless nature and the current state of capitalism. Just as pirates were cutthroat and self-serving, so too are the financial systems that dominate our world today. The real treasure they're after? Your wallet.
The Cannibalism of Capitalism: A Societal Downfall
I argue that the same psychopathic tendencies that fueled piracy are alive and well in our economic systems. We've been conditioned over generations to accept and even participate in what amounts to financial cannibalism. This isn't just a metaphor—it's a reality we face in everyday transactions, where exploitation and greed rule the day.
The Hypocrisy of the Capitalist System
I call out the hypocrisy of criticizing capitalism while simultaneously benefiting from it, highlighting the absurdity of our conditioned acceptance of harmful practices. We are complicit in a society that rewards ruthlessness while punishing vulnerability. It's time we fess up to the fact that we're all playing a role in this twisted system.

I'm a deep thinking contrarian, a very pragmatic idiocythrope. I believe that function determines desirability and legitimacy. I don't like the superficial and/or pretentious, nor the shallow. I speak the truth as best as I know it.
With friends, I desire quality over quantity. I know some very important life truths I'm just waiting for you to ask about. I have found in life, many people talk about happiness, but are unwilling to pay the price for it, because even if they’re able to pay that price, they believe they shouldn't have to, because they are entitled to it, but I understand with absolute certainty, that such beliefs are typically due to stupidity, Insanity, or some degree of both.
This is not just another YouTube channel; I'm seeking to build a community of Intelligent thinkers daring to discuss, - and say - what the hell ever really needs to be said, so please help me, as well as others, by leaving your thoughts, and hopefully.... subscribing.
I believe we really can change the current status quo of an idiotic and fucked up purposeless treadmill existence, and actually improve this world, but it requires intelligence, honesty, and BALLS, all three of which are currently in short supply, especially the balls.
Thank you for taking the time, to read this, and remember to avoid anything or anyone stupid, as much as possible, your life will be far better for it.
Please consider, that by visiting the website and supporting this show, you're supporting an actual person, not some mega corporation, that wouldn't know human compassion if it hit them over the head! I look forward to you reaching out to me, and until next Monday or Friday remember, the world may be misinformed and crazy, but YOU, don’t have to be!

Pirates have been romanticized in books
0:02
and movies for quite some time but the
0:04
fact is Pirates as a rule were ruthless
0:07
backstabbing psychopath that would do
0:09
anything for money and only work
0:11
together for their own self-interest
0:13
they were not in any way decent human
0:16
beings so what happened to them
0:34
if you work for a living why do you kill
0:37
yourself
0:40
working so tell me just be totally
0:44
honest did you like that pirate
0:47
analogy I thought it was well I think
0:51
it's appropriate and
0:54
um that's what we're going to be talking
0:57
about is piracy
1:00
on the high seas of
1:05
Finance before I get started uh I just
1:08
want to introduce myself I am Professor
1:12
Ernest
1:13
man professor of
1:15
tautology Frostbite
1:18
Falls one thing that many people never
1:22
consider is the dilar effects of what
1:27
amounts to years and years of perhaps
1:30
you know Decades of
1:32
um well
1:34
Psychopathic thinking in this case it's
1:38
in the world of day-to-day
1:42
Finance you see what I have noticed and
1:45
what many other um people in these um
1:49
Studies have noticed sociological
1:53
studies is that societies are easy
1:57
relatively easy to condition uh and if
2:01
you are someone with a much bigger
2:03
picture in
2:05
mind it could take two or three
2:08
generations to do that but it can be
2:12
done and when I say conditioning what
2:15
I'm talking about here is people that
2:19
become accustomed to the most egregious
2:23
the most
2:24
ridiculous or perhaps the most harmful
2:27
things that previous generations
2:31
simply could not have even wrapped their
2:33
head around because they would have been
2:35
so ridiculous and
2:38
Preposterous to follow through
2:41
on for instance just to give a very
2:46
simple example of this the German people
2:50
during World War II were in a very
2:54
relatively short period of time actually
2:58
conditioned to actually want to
3:03
homicidally
3:04
destroy non-germans and that it became
3:08
the
3:09
norm I am not saying each and every
3:13
individual was like this of course not
3:16
I'm saying all that matters in big
3:19
movements is the majority of support
3:22
from the
3:24
majority it doesn't matter how you
3:26
obtain that whether it's through
3:30
joyful adherence to a given philosophy
3:34
ideology or party line or by
3:37
force the result is the same it gets
3:42
accepted within the society the laws get
3:46
changed and basically what would have
3:49
been considered absolute Madness only
3:53
maybe even one generation
3:56
ago becomes the accepted Norm
4:01
this is the case of what I call the uh
4:05
the theft of uh well it's the theft not
4:09
only of the American people but it is
4:13
also having the people in on this game
4:17
so that they themselves cannot
4:19
disentangle themselves from it because
4:23
they are a part of it so you can't for
4:28
instance as an example
4:30
you inherently can't go around uh you
4:34
know criticizing
4:36
capitalism even if you're right and even
4:39
if you're correct and then you turn
4:41
right around and you're engaging in it
4:44
that's called being a hypocrite and that
4:46
by any standard is not a good thing but
4:49
that is what I want to talk about to
4:51
point out because it very much affects
4:54
your life and what you do with it and
4:56
what you can do with it
5:00
I want to talk
5:02
about fessing up to the idea that what
5:06
this basically amounts to on a very
5:09
broad
5:11
level is
5:14
cannibalism let me give you a realworld
5:18
example of the
5:20
psychopathy what I've had to deal with
5:23
and many other
5:25
people that is a symptom of the sickness
5:29
of what I'm talking
5:31
about now this may seem like a simple
5:36
thing but it I really feel that it's a
5:40
very good barometer on what's going on
5:44
in our society and as it continues to
5:48
degenerate before I go into it also I
5:50
wanted to mention this is the very same
5:53
thing that if you ask people if you ask
5:55
people as
5:57
individuals they get the you know that
6:00
really crazy batshit crazy look on their
6:03
face as though why am I being a victim
6:06
of this and they may be completely
6:09
legitimate and it's just they're dealing
6:11
with something absolutely
6:14
crazy and then they're the ones that one
6:17
moment later will turn right the [ __ ]
6:19
back around and do the very same things
6:23
themselves that's the craziness of
6:26
it so I recently put some things for
6:30
sale on
6:33
Facebook and I've had quite a few
6:38
inquiries about these
6:41
things now before
6:44
you uh approach this as far as selling
6:47
some of your unwanted or unneeded items
6:50
there there should be as it used to be
6:55
it should be a
6:56
supposition that means you know a
6:59
generally agreed upon rule that people
7:02
are selling [ __ ] on you know Craigslist
7:06
or Facebook or what have you um not
7:10
because we're trying trying to become
7:12
[ __ ] millionaires we're just ordinary
7:15
human beings that for whatever reason
7:19
were getting rid of
7:20
items now ask yourself this have you
7:24
went into a department store recently
7:26
and seen something that you wanted
7:29
whatever it is it doesn't matter you
7:31
look at the price and say it's you know
7:34
20 bucks1
7:36
1995 and you think that's more than I
7:39
want to pay really so you go to the ma
7:43
manager whoever's in charge and you
7:46
demand that they lower the price you
7:49
don't look at them and you know and you
7:51
look at I mean you you look at you say
7:54
look this says:8:00
so if you ask someone this that you
8:02
think I'm crazy say of course not no
8:04
nobody does that why is
8:07
that because all these years we as a
8:10
society have been conditioned that it's
8:12
fupa you just don't do it in other words
8:15
you don't question what's put forth
8:17
through the corporation they put their
8:19
stamp on it you humble down you either
8:21
pay the [ __ ] price or you don't it's
8:23
really simple so people have been
8:26
conditioned and this is what I'm talking
8:28
about people condition to this
8:32
however as far as you know how they
8:34
treat their fellow human beings if I'm
8:37
the one that's taken I've taken the hit
8:40
on the greed Factor as I call it and say
8:42
something's 20 bucks at a store okay I
8:45
take the financial hit because it's
8:46
probably worth five but regardless I
8:49
agree and I buy it for 20 bucks that's
8:52
my business that's what I do okay maybe
8:55
3 months 6 months 3 weeks whatever it is
8:58
for whatever reason I decide to sell it
9:01
okay me personally I feel that it's fair
9:03
since I've already taken a huge
9:05
financial hit I generally if it's
9:08
something that's like new it's not a
9:10
wear item you know I ask for half I
9:13
think that's more than
9:15
reasonable but not to the consumers they
9:18
want to endlessly chip away and
9:20
scrutinize yeah I know it says 25 will
9:24
you take
9:25
10 whereas internally I feel like giving
9:28
them a big [ __ ] finger and saying no
9:33
eat [ __ ] and die [ __ ]
9:37
die that's what I feel like of course I
9:40
don't say that but look let's be
9:43
honest that's what we feel
9:46
like the point is why is it people and
9:50
that includes you why is it people we
9:53
are so quick to pounce on take advantage
9:57
of to cannibalize
10:00
other human beings who generally
10:03
speaking just need a a few bucks and
10:06
it's not enough to already the fact that
10:09
they've already paid the price the rape
10:11
fees they paid the full price of this
10:14
but you want it even less than a fair
10:17
price that they're asking
10:19
for I'm not saying again everyone does
10:22
this but I am saying the majority will
10:25
and that is what I'm saying is a symptom
10:27
of the psychopathy of
10:30
capitalism and that all the way down the
10:32
line down the pecking order if you
10:36
will everybody has to lose except of
10:40
course the companies the corporations
10:43
they never lose they never lose if
10:46
they're selling an item for $20 and then
10:49
it doesn't sell well enough then they'll
10:51
you know special discount it maybe
10:53
they'll do 15 or maybe they'll do 10 but
10:57
regardless if they do that
11:00
they at bare
11:02
minimum break even that's bare minimum
11:04
but regardless if they you know had an
11:07
item for sale for 20 bucks and they sold
11:09
it for 10 they're still making a killing
11:12
why because they only paid you know
11:14
maybe $3 to5 for the item and you can
11:18
you can put that across to any item
11:20
there at all whatso [ __ ] ever it
11:22
doesn't matter but my bigger Point here
11:25
is that I'm trying to say is that it's
11:27
just like the lottery sure they put out
11:31
there the winners and the winners are
11:32
the merchants because they get to steal
11:34
everything and they have license to
11:36
steal that's what they do the same thing
11:39
with the wall streeters except it's on a
11:41
much bigger scale but it's the same
11:43
thing they're the Pirates they're the
11:45
thieves they're the ones that decide
11:48
there there's no rules there's no real
11:51
rules there's no real rules no one gets
11:55
fogged no one gets beating no one gets
11:58
shot for being a crook on Wall Street no
12:01
one never happens never so there's no
12:05
incentive uh to not be a crook and
12:08
that's what all of them do is well
12:10
they're Crooks but my point is to
12:13
illustrate I'm saying if you're
12:16
wondering and this is just one aspect of
12:19
a terminally [ __ ] up
12:22
Society all the way down the line
12:25
everything it touches everywhere
12:27
everywhere everything and everywhere
12:28
it's some point the very people do and
12:32
again I'm not saying everyone every
12:35
[ __ ] one doesn't matter you only need
12:38
the majority you only need the majority
12:41
of people to be for instance into uh
12:44
naism or whatnot to have a fascist state
12:48
which is currently where America is
12:50
heading it is the Natural Evolution of
12:53
capitalism the next stage is fascism
12:56
which is definitely what we're getting
12:58
in to now I'm not going to go into that
13:02
maybe in another episode if you want me
13:05
to but ask yourself this why is it if
13:08
you're going around to you know flea
13:10
markets or Craigslist or whatever why do
13:13
you have the
13:14
compulsion assuming that the other
13:16
person is really in need of just a few
13:19
bucks why do you have to be why do you
13:22
have to pile on with all the other
13:24
criminals well I I know you're asking
13:27
$20 but would you let me have it for
13:33
$3 you're [ __ ] sickening and you're
13:36
repulsive as a human being if you do
13:38
that if you do that you are because
13:41
you're just as [ __ ] complient in the
13:43
entire [ __ ] up Arrangement as
13:46
everybody else so don't don't pit a
13:50
[ __ ] and moan and come to me or radio
13:53
talk show host or any [ __ ] body else
13:55
for that matter anyone and then yes that
13:57
includes your shrink who all also
13:59
ripping you off by the way just sit
14:01
there I don't understand I just I just
14:05
can't sell the houses anymore I can't
14:09
they won't they won't just bend over and
14:13
and and hand me some some some Ooze and
14:16
ointment and just let me you know [ __ ]
14:18
them real good they won't do that I'm
14:20
not understanding it's not
14:25
fair [ __ ] you
14:29
this is the spiral
14:31
gyro of a society spiraling down into
14:36
the very [ __ ] that it
14:38
created and if you are the one
14:41
participating in
14:43
this in this madness and this financial
14:48
cannibalism then you my friend are a
14:51
[ __ ] pirate
