The consequences they face... When they don’t appreciate your value...AP. EP.29
The One Word That Changed Everything: A Story of Retribution, Energy, and Advanced Perception
Hey, it’s Earnest Mann here. In this episode, I’m telling you a 100% true story from my past that centers around a single powerful word—a word I’ve only used twice in my life. It’s about what happens when people betray your trust, and how sometimes the universe takes care of paybacks in ways you could never predict.
Emotional Debt is Real—And It Always Comes Back
You ever go out of your way to make peace, just for someone to emotionally slap you across the face? Yeah, I’ve been there too. When people don’t hold up even the mildest commitment, it stings. But here’s what I’ve learned—emotional debts are real, and they get repaid whether we like it or not. You don’t need to lift a finger. The unseen forces of energy and consequence take care of it.
The Power of a Single Word: "Presence"
This episode takes you back to a park where I met an old man named Roy—someone who saw straight through my pain. He gave me one piece of advice, one word: “Presence.” Say it three times when you’re threatened. I didn’t know what it meant, but I did it. And what happened next was so wild, it shaped the rest of my life. A life was ended, instantly, and not by my hand—but by timing, fate, or something else entirely.
Why You Should Never Seek Retribution
Now let’s be clear. This isn’t about revenge. In fact, the whole point is that true power doesn’t come from revenge. It comes from understanding your worth, from developing advanced perception, and from choosing to live above petty acts of retaliation. What happened to Sam wasn’t because I fought back. It was something else—something the universe handled on its own terms.

Have you ever felt unappreciated?
0:02
I know I sure as hell have. It happens
0:05
to me at least twice a week.
0:09
Hello, my name is Ernest. Welcome.
0:13
In this part one, I'm going to tell you
0:16
an absolutely true story concerning an
0:19
extremely powerful phrase that I've only
0:23
used twice in my life. And as an adult,
0:27
unless my life was absolutely in
0:30
imminent threat, I will never use again.
0:35
When people don't follow through on even
0:38
the mildest commitment, I mean, be
0:41
honest. Doesn't it really just piss you
0:44
off? Especially when you sincerely
0:48
wanted to mend fences over something
0:50
which was basically stupid and you
0:54
realized that and you were trying to be
0:57
the better man. But alas, you got
1:00
emotionally slapped across the face and
1:03
that never feels good.
1:07
So if you have suffered this kind of
1:10
emotional treachery, I'm here to give
1:12
you some good news.
1:15
One of the things I've definitely
1:17
learned through advanced perception,
1:20
there really are emotional and energy
1:23
wave debts. They are not forgiven by the
1:28
elemental powers that be. And as the
1:31
other old saying goes, paybacks are a
1:35
[ __ ] And I'm going to tell you through
1:38
my own personal story exactly how and
1:42
why that happens.
1:45
The vast majority of people are simply
1:48
not aware of the fact that although in
1:51
the immediate time reflection, you
1:54
cannot commit acts of harm and cruelty
1:57
to others without it coming back to bite
2:00
you in the ass. And more often than not,
2:04
many times the suffering that you
2:07
brought to others will be vested many
2:10
more times upon you.
2:13
So this is the reason why not only based
2:17
on my own life experience but
2:20
additionally what I've learned through
2:22
advanced perception. You never engage in
2:26
an eye for an eye retribution. That is
2:30
actually one of the worst things you can
2:32
do because it amounts to nothing.
2:36
Now, I totally and completely understand
2:39
that when someone has wronged you, and I
2:42
do very much mean really wronged you, it
2:46
is a natural and completely
2:48
understandable desire to retaliate in
2:52
kind. And additionally, depending on
2:55
your culture and how you were raised,
2:58
let's just say that the idea of turning
3:01
the other cheek isn't exactly the first
3:04
thing on your mind.
3:06
But allow me to tell you this very brief
3:09
and true story about my life. I wish to
3:13
reiterate that this was actually a part
3:17
of my life. Something that actually
3:19
happened. This is not in any way
3:22
fabricated. It is 100% truth and hard
3:26
for me to even believe. It was 50 years
3:29
ago. I met an old man in a park. It
3:34
wasn't a huge park. Exactly. Well, one
3:38
square city block. It just had simple
3:42
concrete paths with benches. In
3:45
retrospect, a very 20th century park,
3:48
including a large domed area with
3:51
columns, with an old brass water
3:54
fountain in the center with a press
3:57
pedal to turn on the water. I drank from
4:00
that old brass fountain countless times.
4:04
Anyway, I met this old-timer who was
4:08
sitting on a bench and he had a cane and
4:11
he had white hair. His name was Roy. And
4:15
we struck up a conversation.
4:18
This wasn't weird or creepy. It was
4:21
pretty normal for that time. And somehow
4:25
he could see that I was upset. and he
4:28
asked me, "What are your troubles, boy?"
4:32
So, long story short, I told him my
4:36
troubles. And I remember he was spitting
4:39
chewing tobacco, also very common back
4:42
then. And he simply kept saying, "Mhm.
4:46
Mhm." And I actually didn't think that
4:49
he was really paying attention, but
4:52
actually he was.
4:55
I told him there was another boy, always
4:58
older, of course, constantly [ __ ]
5:01
with me in the neighborhood. We'll call
5:04
him Sam. And okay, I didn't use the word
5:08
[ __ ] with him. You didn't talk that
5:12
way around your elders back then. I
5:15
believe I just said he was giving me a
5:17
hard time. Anyway, he completely
5:21
understood even though I remember that
5:24
he hardly ever looked at me. He just
5:27
kept tapping his cane on the ground,
5:30
listening and saying, "Mhm."
5:33
over and over again. I also remember
5:36
distinctly his eyes. He had very cool
5:39
pale blue eyes.
5:42
So I guess after I had told him enough,
5:46
he said something to me that I didn't
5:49
understand.
5:51
How is your perception, son?
5:54
I didn't understand the word and I
5:56
didn't understand the question. Then he
5:59
suddenly became very serious, stopped
6:02
tapping his cane on the ground and
6:04
looked at me directly and he said this.
6:07
I want to tell you something very
6:09
important. I just want to make sure
6:11
you're not a goddamn idiot before I tell
6:14
you. Those were his exact words. If I
6:18
could just take a moment for this pitch.
6:21
Here's the amazing and incredible
6:23
Earnest Man tote bag.
6:26
Christ, which can be all yours for a
6:30
very reasonable donation by just
6:32
clicking on the link in the description
6:34
below. It's sturdy and holds a lot of
6:37
ramen noodles.
6:39
No, seriously. It It holds a a lot of
6:43
ramen noodles.
6:46
Now, if you're young, remember I grew up
6:49
in a time when people, especially old
6:52
people, said exactly what they meant
6:56
without the artificially created
6:58
feminine restrictions concerning caring
7:01
about someone's feelings.
7:04
back in more emotionally honest times.
7:08
You said what you meant and you meant
7:10
what you said.
7:13
He simply said, "The next time he's
7:16
bothering you, just say this word three
7:18
times, presence, and he won't bother you
7:22
anymore."
7:24
Now, I was only around 13 years old at
7:29
the time, I believe, and I had no idea
7:33
what he meant.
7:34
But I liked what he said because I was
7:37
sick of Sam and I just wanted him to go
7:41
away. That's exactly what happened. He
7:45
absolutely went away.
7:48
So I'm guessing it was around I don't
7:51
know a week or more later where
7:54
everybody met to catch the bus to go to
7:57
school and of course there was Sam.
8:01
We were about 50 feet apart on the same
8:04
side of the sidewalk and he spotted me.
8:08
He called out my name and started
8:10
walking towards me. He called out
8:12
something I don't quite remember, but he
8:16
was obviously happy because he was once
8:20
again going to [ __ ] with me, which meant
8:24
shaking me down for my lunch money and
8:27
giving me a few good punches.
8:30
Of course, I was scared as hell, but I
8:34
remembered what the old band Roy told me
8:36
to do, and that's what I did. I said the
8:39
word presence three times very quickly.
8:43
I remember clearly what happened as
8:46
though it were yesterday.
8:49
He was quickly walking towards me and
8:52
informing me of the ass whipping I was
8:54
about to receive.
8:56
Then this is exactly what happened.
9:00
Alongside the curb, there was a small
9:03
stretch of the street where the street
9:06
dipped down at least a foot or more. I'm
9:10
guessing, I don't know, about 8 ft or so
9:13
in length. So, if a car or bus ran, you
9:17
know, across it, it would very briefly
9:20
bend down like a foot or more, causing a
9:23
vehicle to dip and tilt towards the curb
9:26
significantly.
9:28
And in this case, the vehicle passing
9:31
was a bus.
9:33
Now, back then, the buses were very
9:36
rounded at the corners, both front and
9:39
back. Not sharp or square corners like
9:44
modern buses, but very round. I can
9:47
visualize this in my mind's eye right
9:50
now. Exactly.
9:54
Just after a few steps, he was heading
9:56
towards me. And for whatever reason, Sam
9:59
turned around to see the bus
10:01
approaching. At the very instant, it was
10:05
dipping down and caused the right hand
10:08
side of the bus to significantly overlap
10:11
the curb. And at that very moment, the
10:14
right hand side of the bus caught Sam
10:17
directly in the temple as it dipped down
10:21
and tilted in that very short spot. I
10:25
just told you about the bus struck him
10:28
square in the head and he dropped
10:30
immediately. It killed him. That is the
10:34
absolute truth.
10:37
There is so much more in this particular
10:40
story that I could tell, but I would
10:43
have to at least bring it into a part
10:46
two if you're interested.
10:49
What I'm trying to tell you is that this
10:52
is part of the very beginning of my
10:54
transformation concerning advanced
10:57
perception.
10:59
And it doesn't even begin to scratch the
11:02
surface of what occurred after that.
11:06
So to conclude what I'm trying to say,
11:09
this is the reason that you absolutely
11:12
should not engage in retribution towards
11:15
those who have harmed you. because what
11:19
I know is extremely powerful. But you
11:23
absolutely must accept and understand
11:26
that what can be learned from what I'm
11:29
trying to tell you is quite serious. And
11:32
the very first thing that you have to
11:34
learn is that when people don't
11:37
appreciate you for your value, you
11:41
simply cannot use the power of advanced
11:44
perception as a tool for retribution. It
11:48
is a tool for something else entirely.
11:53
Well, that's all I've got to say for
11:55
today. I hope you found this helpful or
11:58
interesting. And if you have any
12:00
questions at all, you can reach out to
12:02
me via my website link in the
12:05
description below.
12:07
And if you really want to give me a
12:09
compliment, telling a friend about the
12:11
show would be the best compliment you
12:14
could ever give me. Until next time,
12:19
this is Ernest and I usually always am.
